Job Overview

Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Technician plays a vital role within a cohesive team, adhering to established protocols to evaluate all materials utilized in the production and packaging of products at our facility. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to following proper procedures while supporting both laboratory and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities: To excel in this role, the individual must effectively perform the following tasks; additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential functions.

  • Possess knowledge of SQF or other food safety standards.
  • Interpret and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Transport materials from Receiving to the Quarantine Area for assessment prior to release.
  • Collect samples of raw materials and packaging for quality assurance testing to confirm compliance with established quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain cleanliness by tidying up, cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing materials.
  • Ensure sampling supplies are adequately stocked by monitoring inventory, placing orders, and verifying deliveries.
  • Keep equipment operational by adhering to operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and requesting repairs as needed.
  • Document findings by maintaining daily logs and equipment records, ensuring data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines. Develop and sustain effective organization and time management through diligent record-keeping.
  • Conduct inspections of annual retain samples at designated intervals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while fulfilling responsibilities in accordance with all policies and regulations.

Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and management to ensure that the outcomes of activities align with corporate and regulatory standards and expectations.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $21.00 per hour
