Job Overview

Ascend is seeking a seasoned Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our commercial properties in Northern California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the fiscal and operational success of our buildings, working closely with our accounting team and building ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage building operations and property management team members to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Develop and implement annual property budgets and provide timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly reports, including accruals, variance reports, and stacking plans, to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Liaise with owners and accounting team to ensure contract compliance and prepare accurate financial reporting.
  • Coordinate tenant and capital improvements to ensure timely and proper completion within budget.
  • Manage certificates of insurance for tenants and vendors.
  • Oversee lease administration duties, monitor collections, and coordinate default proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate property leases in lease administration software.
  • Lead and manage property management staff, including hiring and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with property management policies, procedures, codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives.
  • Develop comprehensive annual inspection processes for properties, completing regular inspections to meet best practices.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of commercial real estate experience with increasing responsibilities, preferably with Class A properties.
  • California Real Estate License and RPA or CPM designations.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and building operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as commercial real estate software programs like Yardi, MRI, Timberline, and Building Engines.
  • Professional leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
