Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of clinical equipment, ensuring that it is functioning properly and safely for our patients.

About the Role

In this role, you will perform scheduled and non-scheduled PM checks on equipment, document work orders and PM checks, and order parts and materials as needed. You will also assist clinical staff with equipment In Service or technical documents when required, communicate clearly and timely with staff on the status of repairs, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Equivalent/GED, strong mechanical and electronics background, solid knowledge of electronics and mechanical basic operation, and ability to complete electrical safety and basic operation of electrical/electronic testing equipment. A technical certificate from an electrical and/or mechanical trade school is preferred.

Work Environment

Travel Requirements

10% travel is required for this position.

Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
