Job Overview
Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in supporting the anesthesiologist and other anesthesiology personnel. This position requires the management and maintenance of equipment used by anesthesiologists, including sterilizing, cleaning, assembling, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting various pieces of machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to effectively work with anesthesia and operating room staff.

Responsibilities
- Stock surgical suites with required supplies
- Assist with difficult airway management
- Deliver blood samples to the lab and retrieve blood products
- Disassemble, decontaminate, and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Report equipment problems to the management team
- Perform Point of Care (POCT) testing procedures
- Effectively communicate with anesthesia and operating room staff

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association
- One year experience working in a healthcare setting or completion of a medical assistant program
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Salary and Benefits
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Cleveland Clinic offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
