Patient Access Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patient information and services.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely completion of medical necessity and compliance checks.
- Assign accurate MRNs, collect insurance information, and process physician orders while providing excellent customer service.
- Operate the telephone switchboard, relay incoming and outgoing calls, and provide compassionate customer service.
- Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, collect demographic and insurance information, and explain general consent for treatment forms.
- Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems and select applicable insurance plan codes.
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- High School Diploma/GED required
- CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire
