Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient admission process for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign accurate Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Receive and process physician orders and utilize an overlay tool to ensure accurate data entry
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls
  • Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Conduct audits of accounts and ensure accurate and timely completion of forms
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits and collect point-of-service collections
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients and obtain necessary signatures
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems and select applicable insurance plan codes
  • Accurately screen medical necessity using Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) software
Requirements
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certification in Revenue Cycle (CRCR) required within 6 months of hire
