We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Philadelphia Magazine. As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in hiring, training, and managing all front-of-house (FOH) managers and staff
  • Manage the floor during service, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service and that our standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, including submitting nightly reports on service, sales, labor, and liquor costs
  • Refine service at the location, working closely with both FOH and back-of-house (BOH) management teams to execute our service vision
  • Work in conjunction with the General Manager to make all day-to-day decisions to maintain quality restaurant operations
  • Ensure that standards for product quality and service are maintained at all times, suggesting corrective action to the General Manager for any operational, service, and/or fiscal issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in Restaurant Management
  • Knowledge of industry trends, menu creation, coaching/training, and building Restaurant Management teams
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products, restaurant POS, digital scheduling systems, and reservation systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days
  • Must exhibit top-notch teamwork
