Job Description

Mid Hudson Subaru is seeking a seasoned Automotive Finance Director to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in finance and insurance products to create a seamless experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximize gross profit by implementing efficient financing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key lenders to increase customer loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue through the sale of credit insurance, vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, and maintenance plans.
  • Oversee the management of paperwork related to vehicle sales, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Convert cash deals into finance arrangements, optimizing sales performance.
  • Foster partnerships with multiple finance sources, including manufacturers, to expand business opportunities.
  • Process finance and lease deals efficiently, ensuring accurate and fair approvals.
  • Drive business growth through effective relationship building with customers, sales teams, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements affecting the finance and insurance departments.
  • Implement processes to ensure efficient completion of paperwork for vehicle sales and leases.
  • Verify essential details, such as title, lien information, and taxes, before submitting to accounting.
  • Hold current state insurance licenses and complete ongoing education as required.
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of dealership services and policies.
  • Optimize alternative finance source programs to provide customers with diverse options.
  • Source insurance companies for optimal pricing.
  • Maintain accurate insurance files.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to ensure 100% turnover to the F&I department.
  • Keep sales teams and managers informed about finance and lease programs.
  • Train sales staff on financing, insurance, and extended service benefits.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to achieve profitable sales.
  • Align finance forecasting with sales department forecasts to achieve desired penetration levels and revenue.
  • Collect all finance and insurance fees.
  • Process credit applications.
  • Compile reports on finance penetration.
  • Participate in manager meetings.
  • Handle rate quotations.
  • Establish guidelines for maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train a designated backup to ensure continuity during absences.
  • Maintain current contract and paperwork supplies for vehicle deals.
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess product knowledge, professionalism, and empathy, with exceptional communication skills that foster collaboration with sales and the General Office.
