Certified Nursing Assistant II, Medication Specialist

Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Technician to join our team at RHA Health Services. This role involves administering medications to supported individuals according to prescribed dosages, routes, and frequencies while ensuring safe and effective delivery. A strong focus on supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges is required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Administer medications to supported individuals following established protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or side effects, promptly reporting concerns to medical personnel.
• Maintain detailed records of medication administration, including dosage, time, route, and observations.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate individual care.
• Assist with medication reconciliation, inventory management, and storage in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and certification renewal.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety, reduce errors, and improve patient outcomes.
• Review medication expiration dates, reporting missing or needed medications to the pharmacy.
• Schedule and coordinate doctor visits for supported individuals, communicating with relevant personnel.
• Manage filing of doctors' orders in the office and distribute copies to group homes.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Capable of performing physical interventions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills necessary.
Work Environment:
This role requires regular lifting of up to 30 pounds and the ability to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. The position also demands proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
