About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Sargent Aerospace & Defense, LLC. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical inspection and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve any quality issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

In this role, you will also be responsible for performing dimensional inspections, interpreting drawings and specifications, and creating first articles to AS9102 standards. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others will be essential in training and mentoring less experienced inspectors.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, quality assurance) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong background in mechanical inspection
  • Basic measurement skills using micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, and optical comparators
  • Basic GD&T understanding
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Continued education or training in quality assurance or a related field
  • 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong background in quality assurance
