SP Plus Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Porter to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operations of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure the facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Conduct daily inspections of the facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues or concerns.
- Operate various equipment and tools, including brooms, mops, brushes, and hand tools, to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Empty trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with painting and other cosmetic repairs as needed.
- Replace light bulbs and other fixtures as needed.
- Apply oil absorbent to oil spills and other hazardous materials.
- Submit requests for repairs or maintenance to the facilities manager.
- Check and maintain safety equipment, including gate arms and ticket spitters.
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients and visitors.
- Assist with special projects and events as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required.
