Key Responsibilities
- Engage deeply with embedded system architectures and functionalities.
- Actively contribute to the development of networking layers, focusing on L3 to L7.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of diverse embedded software for our hardware services, including device drivers and Linux kernel modules.
- Take the lead in architecting innovative features, creating detailed project timelines, and estimating delivery schedules based on high-level product requirements.
- Analyze performance metrics and stability data from testing and production to identify regressions and validate new functionalities.

Team Dynamics
The Connectivity Solutions team is pivotal in managing the control and management software that operates on our hardware. Our software primarily functions at L3+ within the network stack. We maintain close collaboration with various teams, including Customer Experience, Product Development, Cloud Services, Quality Assurance, Hardware Engineering, Product Analytics, and Manufacturing Operations.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 7 years of programming experience in one or more software languages.
- Proven experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.

Preferred Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and networking protocols, particularly from Layer 3 to Layer 7, including security protocols such as TCP, IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, and NAT.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go programming, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
