About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer / Digital Engineer to contribute to our digital transformation initiatives. This role involves leveraging Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies to enhance the delivery of critical national defense products. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop GPS receiver software across various hardware platforms.
  • Modify and debug existing software to enhance functionality and resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering processes throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Estimate, plan, and prioritize tasks to meet project timelines.
  • Provide regular updates on project status against established plans.
  • Create host applications and tools for product testing and interfacing.
  • Support field integrations and demonstration activities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support and service.
  • Foster knowledge sharing through mentorship and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for Principal Level:

  • 5 years of engineering experience with a BS in a STEM discipline; 3 years with a Master's degree.
  • Proficiency in FPGA coding and embedded software development.
  • Experience with VHDL and the software lifecycle, including specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, and maintenance.
  • Strong background in software architecture design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with high-level programming languages such as C, C++, or Java, and scripting languages like Python.
  • Experience in security architecture and coding.
  • Proficient in software management and workflow automation tools like ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest, or Jira.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience or academic background in navigation/FPNT domains.

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Level:

  • 9 years of engineering experience with a BS in a STEM discipline; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD.
  • Expertise in FPGA coding and embedded software.
  • Experience with VHDL and the complete software lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in software architecture design.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or Java, and scripting languages like Python.
  • Background in security architecture and coding.
  • Experience with software management tools like ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest, or Jira.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience or academic background in navigation/FPNT domains.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing real-time safety-critical embedded software systems.
  • Background in navigation and/or integrated avionics system development.
  • Capability to create UML software designs using tools like Rhapsody or Model-Based Engineering tools like Simulink or SCADE.
  • Familiarity with the full software lifecycle from specification to maintenance.
  • Experience with software testing tools and code analysis tools.

This position is contingent upon program award.

Salary Range: $118,000 - $177,000

Salary Range 2: $146,300 - $219,500
