Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated RN specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing to deliver exceptional care to patients who are ill, injured, or recovering. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to evaluate patient conditions, administer medications, perform dressing changes, monitor vital signs, maintain accurate records, and provide educational support to patients and their families.

Your responsibilities will also include assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, conducting various patient tests, and administering medications within your professional scope. As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will promote patient autonomy by setting care objectives and educating patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient history and physical assessments with patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to gather comprehensive patient information.
  • Develop individualized care plans, including discharge strategies, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient progress towards established goals in partnership with the healthcare team.
  • Document assessments, plans, implementations, and evaluations in patient records.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current certifications as required by the facility.
  • Thorough understanding of nursing theory and practice.
  • Strong teamwork skills, work ethic, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure outstanding patient service.
