Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated RN specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing to deliver exceptional care to patients who are ill, injured, or recovering. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to evaluate patient conditions, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, maintain accurate records, and provide educational support to patients and their families.

Your responsibilities will also include assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, conducting various patient tests, and administering medications within your professional scope. As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will play a crucial role in fostering patient independence by setting care objectives and educating patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs of patients.
  • Review patient history and physical assessments with patients and/or their families, ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to gather and review all pertinent patient information.
  • Develop individualized care plans, including discharge plans, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress towards established goals in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
  • Document assessments, plans, implementations, and evaluations in the patient record.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical environment.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current certifications as required by the facility.
