Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at Sonoco. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, and driving business growth through strategic account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter customer orders and requirements into information systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Convert customer requirements into manufacturing specifications, utilizing configurator technology to drive production efficiency.
  • Make day-to-day decisions on order entry, inventory management, and customer inquiries, demonstrating a high level of problem-solving skills.
  • Coordinate accounts receivable activity, including credit determination, invoicing, and outstanding receivables resolution, to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt.
  • Make pricing decisions for all accounts within established guidelines, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on inventory levels, pricing, and master production schedules to optimize business performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on current market, product, process, and company issues to provide expert advice to customers and drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, order fulfillment, or account management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in information systems and configurator technology a plus.
