Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily collections activities, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Engage with clients regarding overdue accounts, which includes crafting and dispatching collection notices and promptly generating reminder statements.
- Negotiate repayment arrangements with clients to aid in the resolution of outstanding debts.
- Work closely with legal professionals to investigate, assess, and address collections challenges effectively.
- Assist attorneys with their accounts receivable tasks, promoting effective communication and resolution strategies.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of billing processes and participate in cross-training as required.
- Perform additional billing responsibilities and projects as directed.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in client collections.
Prior experience in a legal firm is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
Familiarity with Aderant or comparable legal billing software.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, with a solid foundation in mathematics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and open to learning new technical systems.
