Restaurant General Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team in Minot, North Dakota. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, high-quality products, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Work with the management team to hire, train, manage, and develop team members, including regular meetings, reviews, and one-on-ones.
  • Shift Management: Manage shifts to ensure efficient operations and exceed member/guest experience expectations, including assisting and guiding staff, ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and guest service, and responding to and resolving guest issues.
  • Compliance: Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including completion of ServSafe training and Ward County food safety certification for self and all team members, and enforcement of alcohol responsibility policy.
  • Cost Management: Meet or exceed cost of goods goals for beverage and food programs by effectively planning and projecting needs, practicing and ensuring compliance to menu and drink specifications, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of all restaurant inventories.
  • Financial Management: Meet labor budgets through effective scheduling and monitoring coverage, and ensure all financial and personnel/payroll related admin duties are completed accurately and timely.
  • Restaurant Image: Maintain a professional restaurant image, including general maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant and proper uniform and appearance standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous restaurant and management/supervisory experience.
  • 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, and lift.
