The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and continually improving our Industrial Automation equipment, ensuring our farms and offices are always operating at their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Follow established procedures to maintain the operation of equipment and systems throughout the facility, ensuring timely and thorough completion of tasks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the operation of equipment and systems, including building maintenance, plumbing, compressed air, HVAC, lighting, high-speed conveyors, and other machinery.
  • Electrical Systems: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Communicate common failure modes and suggest corrective actions to eliminate root causes.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the General Manager, Office staff, Engineering, and Safety teams in planning, ordering, installing new equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on damaged or malfunctioning equipment, making repairs where necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Make recommendations to the Maintenance Manager to arrange for outside vendors to service equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Respond to facility emergency situations, promote a safe and healthy work culture, and comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives.
  • Physical Demands: Occasionally move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the facility.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 or more years of related work experience.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical skills on electric motors, vacuum pumps, air compressors, HVAC, etc.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow operation manuals, manufacturing and installation instructions, sketches, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts, flexible hours, and be part of the on-call rotation.
  • Responsibility: Responsible, flexible, fast learner with the ability to be a self-starter and take on new challenges.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines, successfully keep multiple tasks running simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to provide constructive feedback and creative solutions to problems.
  • Food Safety: Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
