About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host and Guest Experience Specialist to join our team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a Host and Guest Experience Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable experience for all who visit our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to all guests, ensuring a positive first impression of our restaurant.
  • Coordinate reservations and seating for daily and/or nightly service, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our guests.
  • Act as an advocate for the restaurant, developing relationships with guests and creating opportunities for repeat business.
  • Accurately handle paperwork, stock, and tidy the host stand, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Receive incoming calls, accurately book reservations for guests, and take room service orders if applicable.
  • Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness, assist in bussing tables, and help servers by refilling beverages when needed.
Requirements
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a real passion for hospitality, and a love for crafting unique and memorable experiences for guests.
  • Open Table experience.
  • Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays when needed.
