Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with the intake process, ensuring all necessary information is collected and accurate.
- Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and medical history information.
- Ensure all required documents, authorizations, and referrals are completed and filed appropriately.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding the intake process, insurance coverage, and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Handle patient concerns and provide exceptional customer service throughout the intake process.
- Collaborate with medical staff and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient flow and timely access to care.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient intake or medical office administration.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and prior authorization processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare management systems.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused attitude.
