Position Overview

The Lead Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Credit Department's daily operations, focusing on customer account management, receivables collection, and insurance documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates the onboarding of new customer accounts by verifying credit applications for accuracy and completeness, following up on any discrepancies, and utilizing credit assessment tools to evaluate customer creditworthiness.
  • Collaborates with the credit team to enhance Accounts Receivable collection efforts, which includes making outbound communications, engaging with departmental leaders, and addressing potential collection issues with the Credit Manager.
  • Prepares for and participates in internal reviews of Accounts Receivable on a quarterly basis.
  • Manages customer insurance documentation by organizing, tracking expiration dates, and liaising with insurance providers to secure updated certificates.
  • Provides assistance with inquiries related to sales tax and compliance as necessary.
  • Reviews and approves credit requests associated with service work orders, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Conducts research on UCC filings and lien regulations, reporting findings to the Credit Manager.
  • Acts as a notary for various documents as required, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Contributes to the development and documentation of credit policies and procedures, particularly in relation to the implementation of new enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Undertakes additional tasks and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team objectives.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with credit analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with state tax regulations and lien laws is advantageous.
  • A detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and interpersonal skills is essential.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical abilities are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to adapt to various software applications is necessary.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screening.
