About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Land Development team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and execution of survey projects in our private development and public infrastructure markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring operational effectiveness throughout.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for survey-related activities, including construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description writing, boundary analysis, and legal principles.
  • Work with the Project Manager to define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to evaluate project budget and analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct team meetings with project team members and evaluate and coordinate project progress.
  • Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff as needed.
  • Responsible for quality control and quality assurance related to survey activities on each project.
  • Ensure division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Professional Survey License - Licensed in the State of the office. Additional states preferred.
  • Four-year degree preferred and 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business.
  • Must have multi-discipline experience and a strong understanding of commercial, residential, and public infrastructure markets and projects.
  • Effective verbal communication is necessary, and independent judgment is essential.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects well.
