Position Overview
The Timmons Group is seeking a Certified Land Surveyor to become an integral part of our Survey Division.

Key Responsibilities
The Certified Land Surveyor will oversee the effective management of designated projects and client relationships. The ideal candidate will engage in design-oriented surveying initiatives utilizing appropriate software, modeling, and CADD technologies.

Essential Duties
1. Drive marketing efforts and foster client development while ensuring technical excellence, profitability, project timelines, and team coordination.
2. Prepare proposals, negotiate project scopes and fees, manage billing processes, and maintain client follow-up to facilitate fee collection when necessary.
3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, promoting additional Timmons Group services beyond direct expertise.
4. Manage multiple mid-sized projects, several smaller projects, or a single larger project concurrently.
5. Execute and manage projects that may encompass ALTA/NSPS Land Title, boundary, route, topographical, construction, control networking, and high-definition surveys.
6. Perform calculations using surveying methodologies and leverage technology to resolve challenges.
7. Maintain ongoing communication with the Group Leader, clients, team members, and internal design personnel.

Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Engineering, or a related scientific field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Must hold a valid license (L.S.) in one or more states where Timmons Group operates.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of surveying experience is required.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D software is essential.
- Experience in creating Machine Control Models is necessary.
- Familiarity with GPS/RTK technology is expected.
- A solid understanding of project accounting with demonstrated capability to manage schedules and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in client development and oversight of technical work performed by field crews.
- Competence in technical and office support software necessary for fulfilling the essential functions of the role.
