Position Overview

The Front of House (FOH) team member plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests at Curry Up Now. This position involves taking customer orders, delivering food, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through friendly interactions. The FOH staff is also responsible for managing the cash drawer, ensuring accurate financial transactions throughout their shift.

Reports to: Assistant General Manager, General Manager

Physical Requirements

This role may require assisting in various restaurant operations, which can include prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as heavy lifting during peak times.

Work Environment

The restaurant environment may involve exposure to extreme heat and wet, slippery floors, particularly in food preparation areas. Employees are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear to ensure safety.

Job Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the role:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive dining experience.
  • Accurately take and process customer orders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Strong self-discipline, initiative, and leadership qualities.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the food service or retail industry.
  • A friendly demeanor and a polished appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to multitask effectively while providing attentive service.
  • A combination of relevant experience and a desire to excel in the hospitality industry.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Point of Sale systems.
  • Reliability and a willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • ServSafe or Food Handlers Certification.
