Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up banquet rooms according to specifications, including linens, serviceware, and glassware.
  • Attend pre-event meetings to review function details and guest expectations.
  • Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring consistency throughout the event.
  • Remove dishes promptly and reset the banquet room according to specifications.
  • Replenish beverages as needed and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.

Performance Standards:

  • Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional service to guests and ensure that every event is a success.
  • Work Habits: Maintain a positive and professional attitude, adhere to hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Safety & Security: Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
