At Target, we're committed to creating a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. As a Security Specialist, you'll play a critical role in achieving this goal by leading a physical security culture and assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store.
Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and engaging guests and team members at the front of store
- Responding to and accurately documenting security incidents
- Conducting productive merchandise recoveries and providing apprehension support as needed
- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of store by performing receipt checks for exposed high-dollar merchandise
- Modeling working safely while maintaining a clean store for guests and team members
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
- A welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and with a team
- The capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
