Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough inspections of returned equipment to assess condition and maintenance needs.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of equipment as required.
  • Cleans and prepares equipment for repairs, ensuring it meets rental-ready standards.
  • Performs comprehensive maintenance and troubleshooting on all equipment, addressing mechanical issues effectively.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Tracks rental inventory and coordinates logistics for deliveries, pickups, and service requests.
  • Oversees the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
  • Orders and installs necessary parts to uphold quality standards.
  • Manages inventory of parts and supplies efficiently.
  • Documents and maintains service records, including damage repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensures equipment is properly cleaned and labeled before rental.
  • Operates company vehicles safely, maintaining a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Maintains and inspects company vehicles, reporting any irregularities to management.
  • Monitors and manages company tools and supplies, ensuring broken tools are reported for replacement.
  • Maintains the wash bay area to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Communicates effectively with customers and team members to schedule services and deliveries.
  • Completes necessary paperwork for service calls and equipment handling.
  • Delivers and installs rental equipment, providing training on safe operation to customers.
  • Implements and follows safe operational procedures.
  • Collaborates with management to maintain accurate records of equipment status.
  • Available for emergency service calls on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical roles, particularly with internal combustion engines, propane systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • High school diploma or GED is required; additional trade school training is preferred.
  • Must possess personal mechanic's tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and adapting to changing work assignments.
  • High safety awareness and knowledge of equipment safety standards.
  • Prior experience with floor care equipment is highly desirable.

Compensation:

The starting pay rate will vary based on several factors, including the specific position, location, and the candidate's qualifications and experience.
