As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects that support plant operations, including process improvements and the development and installation of new tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple engineering projects to support plant operations, including process improvements and the development and installation of new tooling.
  • Represent CLI in a professional manner with customers and suppliers at all levels of their organization.
  • Active leader in problem-solving analysis and developing irreversible corrective actions of quality issues.
  • Teach, lead, and continuously improve all areas of the business.
  • Responsible to lead line balancing and process changes for current and future operations.
  • Interface with all aspects of operations, including quality, materials, and maintenance.
  • Ability to be flexible and work well in a team environment.
  • Effectively interact with, lead, and develop people.
  • Work closely with other engineers to ensure continuity.
  • Customer-focused and able to work with and effectively communicate with operators on the floor as well as CLI Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing and demonstrated success as a problem-solver.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with the APQP system.
  • VAA or manufacturing experience.
  • Plant and assembly cell layout experience.
  • Experience with Elemental Time Studies and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Start-Up, Equipment Installation, and Launch experience required.
  • Experience with PLC.
  • Understanding and experience of assembly tooling and equipment and ROBOTICS.
  • Tier 1 automotive experience is required.
  • Sub-assembly and Sequencing experience are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
