Position Summary

In the role of Senior Accounting Analyst, you will engage in a wide range of responsibilities within a complex, global accounting framework. Daily tasks may include general ledger management, month-end closing activities, financial reporting, management reporting, consolidations, capital expenditure accounting and reporting, financial analysis, process enhancement, internal and external audit assistance, ad-hoc analytical support, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute month-end closing procedures to meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in accounting accuracy and procedural efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit controllers and provide reports as necessary.
  • Implement financial close and consolidation processes using SAP and Hyperion Financial Management systems.
  • Assist in preparing precise management reporting packages that include financial results and key operational metrics.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with both US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Conduct lease accounting in compliance with IFRS-16 requirements.
  • Provide analytical support to the Accounting department and senior management as needed.
  • Engage in special projects to support the Accounting department and senior management as requested.
  • Monitor essential internal controls within the Accounting department and Shared Services.
  • Assist in the implementation of Corporate, Group, US GAAP, or IFRS accounting and/or policy modifications.
  • Support the annual budgeting process as required.
  • Conduct product costing, manufacturing analysis, inventory valuation, and related reporting and analysis.
  • Review and assess accounting transactions and related financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness, providing explanations to business partners.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the annual audit process.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Address inquiries from TKI Business Units and Tessenderlo Group Finance.
  • Identify and proactively suggest solutions for automation and process enhancements while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with precision, accuracy, and timeliness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related technical field, with a minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, contributing to group outcomes through collaboration and effective relationship building.
  • Experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • Familiarity with publicly traded international corporations.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or other ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High proficiency in IT skills (SAP, Excel, HFM).
  • Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach, demonstrating organization, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
