Position Summary
The Lead Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in overseeing accounting functions, external financial disclosures, and the establishment of robust accounting systems and controls aimed at minimizing financial risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support various accounting functions, including but not limited to month-end closing processes, accounts payable, payroll management, tax compliance, and internal reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy in financial and operational sections, risk assessments, footnotes, and management discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations, including SEC, GAAP, and FASB standards.
  • Design and implement internal control measures in line with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations to maintain compliance with applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Manage complex capitalization tables, including stock option plans and equity transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive system of documented accounting policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the completion of periodic bank reconciliations.
  • Establish and maintain a system of controls over financial transactions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment or a large corporate division.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, particularly in manufacturing accounting practices.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, focusing on manufacturing functionalities.
