Job Title: Area IT Support Specialist

At Duval Charter School at Flagler Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Area IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our educational systems and infrastructure.

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support and maintenance for our network and computing infrastructure, ensuring that our educational systems are always available and functioning properly. You will work closely with our State IT team and outsourced partners to plan and implement network and computing infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain our network and computing infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and functioning properly.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to our school administrators, teachers, parents, and students, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and analyze support requests to identify larger-scale issues and implement solutions to prevent future problems.
  • Collaborate with our State IT team and outsourced partners to plan and implement network and computing infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain IT-related documentation, SOPs, and best practice procedures to ensure that our systems are always running smoothly.
  • Serve as a technology liaison for our schools, clients, and vendors, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in training programs to increase your skills and proficiency in IT-related areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by our Florida State IT Director, Manager, and Escalation team.
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical certifications, such as A+, Azure AI-900, SEC+, NET+, CCNA, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting IT customers in an educational environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience resolving hardware and software issues in an enterprise environment.
  • Prior experience in a school environment is preferred but not required.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required to support our regionally assigned schools.
