Senior Bridge Engineer Position

Fuss & O'Neill is a leading civil and environmental engineering firm seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manchester, CT. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and management of bridge engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage bridge engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction professionals.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay updated on advancements in bridge engineering technology and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
- Typically requires 10+ years of structural engineering experience, bridge engineering is a must.
- Previous supervisory and project management experience required.
- Experience with DOT and municipal bridge design.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structural System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis, and EnerCalc preferred.
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required; structural licensure is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences.
