Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Hardesty & Hanover. As a key member of our structural engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing complex bridge structures, including rehabilitation and replacement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural design and analysis tasks for bridge projects, including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a senior engineer.
  • Prepare contract documents for bridge design projects, including design calculations, development of plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates, and submittal of reviews during construction.
  • Prepare detailed plans for assigned bridge engineering tasks.
  • Occasional field site visits.

Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering required.
  • EIT Certification preferred.
  • Up to two years of experience.
  • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Code Requirements.
  • Familiarity with Structural Engineering and Analysis software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative, team environments.
