Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Coordinate patient registration and scheduling processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
- Financial Clearance: Obtain demographic and financial information from patients to ensure accurate identification and secure payment sources.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, EMTALA, and Patient Bill of Rights.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience. Associate degree with 6 months of job-related experience is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a job-related field, with basic MS Word and MS Excel skills.
- Certification: National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification within one year of hire is desired.
This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. The work environment is generally pleasant, with some occupational risk. Sedentary/light effort is required, with the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force.
