Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced technical knowledge of electric power system protection and automation.">
  • Collaborate with design, vendor, utility, regulatory agency, operators, owners, contractors, and protection engineers to create system programming.">
  • Test communications and automation functionality of integrated IEDs and software packages in a lab environment.">
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring optimal performance.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, peers, and management through written and verbal reports.">

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • ">
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.">
  • At least 5 years of experience in design, testing, and commissioning of protection and automation systems.">
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industry standards such as NERC, IEEE, OSHA, and NFPA.">
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.">
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.">
  • Frequent travel requirements, up to several weeks at a time.">

Salary Estimate

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
