Certified Fire Alarm Inspector with S98 Credentials

Cennox is in search of a skilled Fire Alarm Inspector possessing a valid S98 Certification. The individual will be responsible for the thorough inspection, testing, and maintenance of electronic fire detection systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine inspections of electronic fire detection and suppression systems in various commercial and industrial settings.
- Execute testing procedures for alarms, sensors, control panels, and associated components to confirm their operational integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve any issues or failures within electronic fire systems, providing recommendations for necessary repairs or enhancements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspection outcomes, testing results, deficiencies, and corrective measures taken.
- Engage with property owners, management teams, and fire safety officials to address compliance matters and uphold fire safety standards.
- Advise on enhancements to fire protection systems and assist in the development of preventive maintenance strategies.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in electronic fire detection and suppression technologies, as well as relevant codes and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Current S98 certification is mandatory.
- Certifications such as CFAT, NICET I, or NICET II are advantageous.
- Familiarity with fire codes and regulations, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC, along with FDNY standards.
- Proficient technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing electronic fire and security systems are preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in commercial fire alarm systems is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and regulatory bodies.
- Competence in using computers and mobile devices is essential.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Physical capability to navigate public transit and perform tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
