Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine evaluations of electronic fire detection and suppression systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Conduct thorough testing of alarms, sensors, control panels, and associated components to confirm their operational integrity.
  • Diagnose and resolve any issues or failures within electronic fire systems, providing recommendations for necessary repairs or enhancements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspection outcomes, testing results, deficiencies, and corrective measures taken.
  • Engage with property owners, management teams, and fire safety officials to address compliance matters and uphold fire safety regulations.
  • Advise on enhancements to fire protection systems and assist in the development of preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in electronic fire detection technology, as well as relevant codes and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Current S98 certification is mandatory.
  • Additional certifications such as CFAT, NICET I, or NICET II are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with fire safety codes and regulations, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC.
  • Proficient technical skills in diagnosing and repairing electronic fire and security systems.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in commercial fire alarm systems is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Competence in using computers and mobile devices is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Physical capability to navigate public transportation and perform tasks that may require climbing or lifting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
