We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Installation Specialist to join our team at IRL Systems, Inc. As a Fire Alarm Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in new construction and retro-fit applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with manufacturers' specifications
- Assist lead/senior installers with system wiring, device, and panel installations
- Participate in FDNY inspections of fire sprinkler and alarm systems at clients' properties
- Initiate and complete projects independently according to assigned tasks
- Work in a team environment and assume additional or new responsibilities readily
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support lead installers/senior installers & technicians with job preparation, including maintaining stock levels and loading trucks
- Install life safety systems and related components in commercial/residential environments
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment and take corrective action
- Carry, climb, and maneuver on ladders; work with hands and power tools; in attics/crawl spaces
- Responsible use of site-specific, facility, and customer-required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Requirements:
- Communicate with staff, client representatives, cooperative trades, and subcontractors in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain a positive, professional, and courteous image; while managing interpersonal skills
- Ensure the work environment is always kept clean, and the area you work in is always protected
