Job Title: Accounting Manager

At Sterling Process Equipment & Services, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining our general ledger.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collection of customer payments
  • Reconcile daily time for shop and field employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment
  • Reconcile weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Maintain multiple GL account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Assist the controller in month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or higher preferred
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as AP/AR coordinator, AP/AR Lead, Accounting Lead, or Accounting Manager
  • Knowledge of general accounting and job costing principles
  • Stable job history
  • 2-year degree or higher in accounting or related field
