Job Title: FBR Family Support Specialist

Boys and Girls Village INC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate FBR Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Family Based Recovery (FBR) program, you will play a vital role in providing intensive, in-home clinical treatment to families with infants or young children at risk of maltreatment and removal due to parental substance use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinicians to provide case management and develop treatment plans
  • Assist with implementing treatment plans, modifying them as necessary
  • Conduct substance screens and provide support services to families
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies and organizations
  • Provide therapeutic support and parent guidance to families

Requirements:

  • BA in social work, sociology, psychology, or comparable human service program
  • Two years' experience in a comparable position in a human services agency preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Cultural competency to serve targeted populations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)

Working Conditions:

  • Must be willing to drive to off-campus sites for in-home visits and collaborative meetings
  • Must be willing to conduct client activities during late afternoon and evening times and/or weekend hours

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to climb several flights of stairs
  • Must be able to work with clients in a variety of settings
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs
