RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Functions:

  • Strategic Vision: Formulate and articulate the strategic direction for our data offerings, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational objectives. Create and implement a comprehensive roadmap for data product evolution, prioritizing projects that yield significant impact and value.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Direct a team of data product leaders and interdisciplinary specialists to produce top-tier data solutions that fulfill the requirements of both internal and external clients. Manage the complete product lifecycle, from concept and requirement analysis to launch and ongoing enhancement, ensuring timely execution and compliance with quality benchmarks.
  • Agile Methodologies: Promote and support agile practices to facilitate flexible, iterative development processes that generate continuous business value. Collaborate with scrum leaders on agile activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain a focus on ongoing improvement and swift feature delivery.
  • User-Centric Design: Advocate for the interests of our users, ensuring that data solutions are user-friendly, accessible, and beneficial. Collect user feedback, conduct research, and refine features to enhance user experience and encourage widespread adoption of data products throughout the organization.
  • Team Development: Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of data product managers, analysts, and scrum leaders, nurturing a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous development. Empower team members to thrive in their roles, enhance their skills, and achieve their professional aspirations.
  • Revenue Generation: Identify avenues to leverage our data assets for new product offerings, features, or partnerships. Work closely with business development and sales teams to effectively package and promote data solutions to external clients or partners, driving revenue growth and business expansion.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure the punctual delivery of data products by effectively managing project timelines, scope, and resources. Implement best practices in project management to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and guarantee successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management related to data, business intelligence, and data science.
  • Strategic Insight: A strategic thinker with a proven ability to establish a long-term vision for data products while executing short-term objectives. Experience in developing product roadmaps, business cases, and market entry strategies, focusing on driving business growth and competitive edge.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that foster business impact and innovation. Strong history of showcasing the value proposition to business stakeholders and engaging them in the development of data products.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven skills in project management and delivery, with the capability to handle multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality results.
  • Effective Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely. Experience in presenting to executive leadership and influencing decisions at all organizational levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of data management principles, database technologies, and analytical tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and translate them into product specifications and strategic recommendations. Proficient in working with both structured and unstructured data, skilled at transforming data into compelling narratives and recommendations.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to work effectively across functions and departments, building strong relationships and driving alignment towards shared objectives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Quality, or a related field.
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management and leading teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP (S/4 HANA) is a plus.

Salary: $140,000 annually
