Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator for Commercial Glass Projects to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for seeking out commercial glazing project opportunities, providing customers with proposals, and designing the necessary solutions for the customer's project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review construction documents and understand the scope of work to bid.
  • Manage assigned customer accounts.
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for commercial projects.
  • Review construction drawings and bid specifications to complete a take-off.
  • Assess and measure openings and other portions of a job site.
  • Prepare estimates based on required material and labor.
  • Prepare and submit written quotations and proposals to customers.
  • Design and prepare shop drawings for commercial storefront, curtainwall, and other commercial glass projects.
  • Order necessary material for projects.
  • Work with the operations team to prepare for and to provide technical assistance during a project's fulfillment.
  • Utilize the company's CRM to enter quotes, project opportunities, and awarded jobs.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of glazing experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work successfully with a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to read construction drawings.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel depending on project locations.
  • Ability to use office software systems such as Excel, Word, email, and the company's CRM.
Work Environment

This job operates in an office/shop environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work may require visiting the shop and job sites in the field.
