Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide full leadership and management accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, on-time delivery, and Profit and Loss (P&L) performance.
  • Business Development: Responsible for achieving or exceeding safety, quality, service, cost, business development, and sales growth goals for the plant.
  • Customer Service: Drive sales growth and achieve superior customer service by developing long-term agreements with customers and growing sales opportunities within the current customer base.
  • Operational Excellence: Contribute to the development and deployment of systemic improvements to enhance the safety, quality, capacity, and capability of Bodycote's technical business processes within the plant.
  • Capital Planning: Plan and deploy capital equipment, including plant layouts, capital planning, and control of overhead expenses.
  • Workforce Planning: Workforce planning and forecasting, employee hiring and training, and ensuring full compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management: Perform duties in a fiscally responsible manner and ensure the financial function of the business is managed effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent; a Master's degree in business or a technical field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 12 years of industrial and/or relatable leadership experience, within a complex industrial or operations environment.
  • Skills: Excellent project management skills, experience with lean concepts, and a proven track record of lean/Six Sigma project implementation.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed within the South Central Region and possibly to other parts of the country.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a sitting position for extended periods in an office/industrial environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions, and lift 25-30 pounds.
  • Cognitive Demands: Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
