We are currently seeking a dedicated and career-focused Aegis Combat Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our operations, providing essential assistance to naval vessels and enhancing their operational readiness and self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of material conditions, evaluate combat systems programs, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Deliver both classroom instruction and hands-on training to sailors on the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and management of combat systems aboard naval vessels.
- Guide and mentor sailors to elevate overall proficiency and material readiness of the ships.
- Facilitate timely maintenance availabilities and ensure successful certifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in the technical operations and maintenance of the AEGIS Combat Systems suite, comparable to that of an AEGIS Combat Systems Maintenance Manager (CSMM).
- Hands-on operational and maintenance experience with AEGIS Combat Systems, Navy Sonar systems, VLS, CIWS, BMD, and/or SPY radar systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Navy network and communications systems, including supporting systems and their interfaces with shipboard systems.
- Recent operational and maintenance experience with Navy electronic warfare and countermeasures systems currently in use within the Fleet.
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship is required along with an active secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate on deck plates aboard ships, including climbing ladders as necessary.
- Must be capable of observing and reporting effectively.
- This position requires frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.
The projected compensation range for this role is $73,500-$122,600, influenced by factors such as relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and educational background. ManTech also offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and professional development opportunities.
