College of the Holy Cross is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for supervising a team of cooks and students, ensuring the highest quality food preparation and service for our students, staff, and customers.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and train culinary staff in food preparation, setup, and service of meals and catered events.
- Assist with product ordering, inventory control, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with standardized sanitation and safety practices.
- Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested.
- Associates Degree in Occupational Studies/Culinary Arts highly preferred.
- Five years' prior experience in supervising a culinary staff for large volume dining and catered events required.
- Certification in ServSafe (food safety/sanitation) required.
- Must have experience and training in special allergy meal preparation.
- Must demonstrate supervisory skills with excellent communication and customer service required.
- Technical knowledge and experience in FoodPro or related systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel necessary.
