We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our Risk Management Risk Office Controls Testing Team, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth analysis of risks and requirements to ensure alignment with control objectives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing and reporting procedures to validate control effectiveness
  • Communicate complex processes and regulatory requirements to stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners throughout testing engagements
  • Deliver clear and concise verbal and written communications to stakeholders, including business partners and Risk Management Risk Office leadership
  • Assist in planning and executing control assessments, ensuring timely completion of tasks and reporting
  • Obtain and analyze test data from multiple sources, adhering to testing protocols and leveraging job aids as needed
  • Systematically retain documents substantiating test results, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Submit test results in the system of record, ensuring seamless tracking and reporting
  • Communicate results to business areas and Risk Management Risk Office leadership as needed, providing actionable insights for risk mitigation
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in audit or controls testing, or requirements management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and actionable insights
  • Deep understanding of risks and ability to communicate and evaluate the appropriateness of mitigating activities
  • Experience auditing internal controls, with a strong focus on risk assessment and mitigation
