As a Medical Support Specialist, you will work closely with our Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN), maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Presenting medication to patients and observing ingestion or administering medication using specified procedures.
  • Taking vital signs or observing patients to detect response to medication, reporting reactions.
  • Restocking medication inventories.
  • Providing direct patient care and ensuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations, initiating corrective action as appropriate.
