Overview

The Senior Project Management Engineer is responsible for overseeing and guiding design engineers and technical teams engaged in various projects. This role entails managing the development, execution, and assessment of intricate designs, ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale projects that involve multifaceted scopes and interrelated tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging in business development and sales discussions with design clients.
  • Overseeing programs that consist of multiple projects of moderate complexity. Leading cross-functional, global teams, initiating programs, setting timelines, and facilitating meetings.
  • Communicating project status to business leaders and clients. Analyzing customer specifications and providing constructive feedback.
  • Coordinating deployment efforts across the organization.
  • Implementing changes as required by the product lifecycle process and suggesting enhancements to existing processes.
  • Planning the overall program and tracking its progress. Leading the creation, review, approval, and updates of the Program Plan/WBS, including resource allocation.
  • Managing daily program activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guiding the program core team to achieve or surpass program goals (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products & service offerings, Customer Specific Needs).
  • Establishing program governance and control measures.
  • Overseeing the program's financials. Forecasting actuals against planned income/revenue, costs/labor, and expenses.
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinating projects and their interdependencies, effectively utilizing resources across various initiatives.
  • Aligning deliverables with the program's intended outcomes in collaboration with the business change manager.
  • Maintaining primary program documentation, including the Program Initiation document.

Work Environment

  • This position is primarily based in a standard office setting.
  • Responsibilities may involve prolonged periods of sitting and focused visual attention on computer screens or detailed data.
  • Frequent repetitive manual tasks (e.g., data entry, operating a computer mouse, using a calculator) are expected.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Experience Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
