We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Complete monthly general ledger close responsibilities, including recording journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure balances and support are reasonable and all reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform variance and trend analysis for selected cost centers.
- Review and reconcile sales order invoices for complex clients.
- Prepare schedules and documentation required for audit requests.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent related work or military experience.
- 2 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- CPA certification.
- 3 or more years of accounting or financial reporting experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in general ledger account reconciliation, including the ability to analyze accounts and trace transactions to source documents.
